Timothy Simon is a new addition to Georgia Colon and Rectal Surgical Associates since July 2002.
He received his BS in biology from the
University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign,
and his medical degree from
Howard University in 1993
while simultaneously competing in professional athletics.
He later performed his internship and residency in
General Surgery at Emory University.
During that time he completed two years of
clinical research which culminated in several textbook chapters and journal articles.
He became a Fellow in Colon and Rectal Surgery with
Georgia Colon and Rectal Surgical Associates in July 2001 and remained on staff thereafter.
He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery.
His focus is compassionate surgical care which includes minimally invasive
(laparoscopic) surgery, anorectal pathology, and inflammatory bowel disease management.
