Specialty Practice Limited to Diseases of the Colon and Rectum

Utilizing the latest in surgical techniques including laparoscopic surgical technology, anorectal ultrasound and colonoscopy, the physicians of Georgia Colon & Rectal Surgical Associates treat and care for diseases of the colon and rectum. Our nine surgeons have completed training in General Surgery with additional specialized training specific to the treatment of diseases of the colon and rectum. These include such entities as hemorrhoids, anal fissures and fistulas, bowel incontinence and the management of diverticulosis, benign and malignant polyps of the colon and rectum, irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease(Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis), and constipation.
Over the years our practice has been actively involved in teaching and research. Georgia Colon & Rectal Surgical Clinics has developed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery. Georgia Colon & Rectal Surgical Clinics is one of only forty board certified programs in the USA and Canada that trains surgeons in the specialty of the diseases of the colon and rectum. We have a Center for Research which currently is involved in clinical trials for new surgical techniques and medications for treatment of some of the diseases of the colon and rectum.
One of the largest Colon and Rectal Surgical Practices in the Southeastern United States, our physicians provide services for 7 office locations in the greater Metro Atlanta area and are on staff at 10 of Georgia's most respected hospitals.
